A young girl has a problem with her 2000 Honda Civic and the only car repair shop near by was Good Year store on Easton Ave,Somerset, NJ 08873. The below is a gist of the repair bill Invoice number:202452 dated:10-14-2010 Check system starter clicking $48.50 Battery 51R60 $96.74 Battery installation $9.95 Non corrosive protection w/battery sale $12.95 Battery cable connectors $8.24 Install cable ends w/battery $29.10 Complaint insufficient heat in the car: Cooling system pressure check $48.50 Upper radiator hose Part $24.77 Labor $67.90 Lower radiator hose Part$35.57 Labor $48.50 Hose clamps Parts$7.00 Radiator cap Part $26.34 Cooling system flush and fill $113.95 Parts total$246.06 Labor total$347.95 Total bill with tax $599.55 I am an auto tech have been in the industry since 1972. The only reasonable price here that i see is the price of the battery the rest is an overcharge. I always tell people to get a second and a third quote before authorizing any repair work. The bigger the name of the repair shop or chain the bigger the repair bill.
