The tickets were for me to take my son and daughter on a photo safarri to South Africa for 25 days. The reservations were canceled becaused we should have been taking British Airways and not American Airlines with our travel package out of Miami. American Airlines canceled my reservations, but did cancel the reservations for my son and daughter. Each round trip ticket cost $2,187.40 for all three us on the trip. I believe that American Airlines only canceled my ticket and not the other two tickets because my son and daughter have their fathers last name Gautney and I use my maiden name Spear. Therefore, they are not helping with the resolution of $4,374.80 in total charges for airline reservations that were canceled on the same day they were made with the airlines. They separated the reservations because the last name was different, even though I am their mother and only made one call to handle the three reservations each time. American Airlines is suggesting that I pay a rebooking fee and send my son and daughter on enough trips in 12 months to use the ticket amounts.
