Beware Crystal Cradle Inc.!

On March 19th I ordered a large leaf copper pendant for my wife’s birthday that is April 2 from Crystal Cradle Inc. I received an order confirmation saying it was due to arrive March 29th, which would have been perfect timing. However, there was nothing but problems after that! For starters, they didn’t actually ship my order until March 28th!!! I received an email saying so on the 29th and that it would arrive on March 31 along with a tracking number. The tracking number wasn’t even valid! I emailed back asking for the correct/ real tracking number that I didn’t receive an answer to until April 1st. The reply came from a guy named Dylan Toymaker, which said he was not certain what address was on the package, that their usual shipper was on vacation (yeah right) and that he may be a bit dyslexic?!?! I ask what the heck???? The extent of the incompetence doesn’t stop there!! After my wife’s birthday had passed (with no present) I asked for a refund as I didn’t trust them at all at this point. I got an automated email saying the refund had been processed. The next day I received another email from Dylan saying they were sending another pendant free of charge. I have never received either “shipment” and personally don’t believe they ever sent a second one and wonder if the first exists!! When I next looked at my credit card statement I was furious to see that not only did they not refund me, but attempted to charge my card a second time!!!!! This is outrageous!! I was beyond angry at this point and started researching the company itself. They are not listed with the Better Business Bureau but worse than that…. after checking with the city, I found out they do not even have a business license!!! This whole thing seems like a total scam to me!! What else would you call it for an unlicensed “company” that tries to double bill an order that never arrives?!?!? I will never order from Crystal Cradle again and highly recommend a huge Buyer Beware to anyone thinking of doing so.
