i bought uggs from this website thinking that i was getting a good deal but i got fakes! i tried to convince my parents that they were fake but they didnt believe me because they had the sign on the back. they said that i have a need to "nit-pick" at the things that i have but they dont know that they feel and look different than the real thing. i confirmed my suspicions by going to uggaustralia.com and going to the conterfeit education section where you can type in the website that u got ur uggs from and they can tell u if its a counterfeit site or not. it worked for me and thats one of the ways that i found out that my black classic short uggs were phonies. if u cant go to that site to see if ur uggs r fake, then consider these physical tips that i learned:
*if the side of the ugg with the "rope on it has glue oozing from the sides, it is a sign that u have a fake ugg.
*if u pinch the sheepskin side and the furry side and pull them away and u cant pull them apart, it is a real ugg because uggs r made from twin-faced sheepskin, which is a fancy way of saying that even before the ugg is made, the fur and sheepskin naturally come together. if u can pull the 2 materials apart, u hav a fake ugg.
*the label inside the ugg should say that the ugg is made in china. not new zealand, australia, CHINA.
*The outsole should be 1/2 an inch, whereas the fake ugg has a smaller sole.
*the insole of the real ugg where ur foot lays should always be the same cream color, no matter what color the ugg is. if ur ugg is brown, black, blue, purple, the insole is ALWAYS white.
*if the fur is shiny or falls out, then it is not real. a real ugg has sheepskin, which is not meant to be soft, only comfortable.
*the label on the back of the ugg should be centered and straight. the sign itself also has a different font if its fake.
*the box that the ugg comes in should have a little orange red sun in the middle with the ugg trademark on it. if its big and purple, its FAKE.
*if the price is lower than the normal ugg price, than u should reconsider, because the company would get no profit if it sold the REAl uggs 4 less.
