Powerhousebids.com rip-off

A lot of people think all these auctions are a scam, but I've not had any trouble from any of them except Powerhousebids. More frustrating than anything, they've ignored my emails and made no attempt to set things right. At first they seemed ok, then began to have technical problems. They were closed down for quite awhile, as I had quite a few bids in my account I checked back daily, waiting anxiously to resume bidding. Finally they were up and running. There is a limit of 3 auctions won per day. Just as I won my 3rd auction , they shut down again. No explanation, but there was a notice saying all wins/bids would be returned to accounts within 24 hours. I waited awhile and checked, my auctions still showed up as being won, so I paid the s/h charges. Once again I was checking back daily to see just what was going on. For nearly 2 weeks my wins stayed there and no bids returned to my account. I had won a PS3(couldn't wait to tell my son) a $250 Visa gift card, and a bidpack of 100 bids- wow! after a couple weeks I felt safe I was going to get my winnings, then they refunded the s/h fees on two of the auctions, the PS3 and Visa card. Blaming technical problems- still don't know why it took them all day to figure out there was a problem. On one hand, I felt they should honor the wins, but I was willing to settle for the return of my bids. Except that never happened. I wrote, and wrote and wrote, getting more upset with each ignored letter. I started watching the auctions a little and realized there was not one familiar name bidding. Belonging to many different Penny Auction sites, I've come to recognize a lot of screen names, but not on Powerhouse. I read a neat tip somewhere about checking the validity of bidders, a decent search engine will pull up all kinds of sites with my screen name and most of the names I see around. Not one of the 30+ names I checked from Powerhousebids brought up anything, not a thing. The only explanations would be they were newbies who had never been on any other Penny Auction sites, or they weren't real. At this point I didn't even want to bid on there anymore, so I began to ask for the cash equivalent of the bids owed to me, and for it to be put in my paypal account. Of course that didn't matter either, no matter what I got no response. I was willing to settle for a fraction of what the PS3 and Visa card was worth, yet they still wouldn't give me the time of day. It was Powerhousebids who had prmosed wins/bids returned to accounts within 24 hours. Since they were giving me my wins, then I was owed the bids. I can't seem to talk to anyone on chat either, I think they've been instructed to ignore me too. Before a chat starts, they request name and email. After I give name and email, message says there is no one availble for chat. So hang on to your money, if you have the urge to bid, check out one of many Penny Auction forums and get some feedback first.
