There is a group of scammers working with Craigslist for an accounting/data entry position with Edward Jones. They want people to send 300 dollars, and I'm sure after almost falling for it, that many have. The names used are Rick Adams, Shanon Downing, and Beth Tillet, that I know of anyways, I'm sure there are more. So if you see these a-holes, let people know, or send them a virus, or SOMETHING. In this economy, it's really easy to fall for something like this, they say they pay 25 dollars anhour, so it's awfully tempting. I hope someone can do something about these scumbags. I have one IP address from the Rick guy, it's 98.136.48.75. I dont have a program to locate the others.

The IP address is located within a block of IPs belonging to Yahoo. Might be very difficult to track these people down. I recommend sending a report to the FTC with all of the info you have, including the web address of the listing is question. If there is a city in the listing, you can report to the state's Attorney General also. Also reporting to this site was a good move.

I have filed a report with the FTC, and all the websites they use to work this scam, and I have even contacted a programmer friend of mine, he's gonna try to squeeze some more info, the Yahoo thing, it's pretty m uch inpenetrable, but I DO have another email through Gmail, not as hard to track.

Well, now after I called her out on the scam, she accuses me of " blackmail"! Not sure how, blackmail entails me holding something over their heads to get something. Turning them into the FTC isn't blackmail, it's giving them what they deserve for being dishonest....

No unfortunately, all I have is Yahoo accounts, and one guys IP address. I don't have the program to track down the IP's for the other two. I have however, sent an e-mail to Edawrd Jones telling them of the scam. I gave them the info I have, the problem is, if they are in Zimbabwe, or Africa, they will not allow another country to prosecute them. So they can just do what they want, and unfortuntely we Americans are just dumb enough to send them the money, so why WOULD they stop? It SUCKS.

The gal that contacted me, used a Gmail account, I think they are using Craigslist for E-mail account Phishing. They most likely have someone here in the states, that gets the info and sends it off to the criminals, it's not illegal here to get someones e-mail address. So they start there, then use Yahoo, because it is IMPOSSIBLE to get anywhere tracking them down, so they can just jump around on Yahoo, and noone can catch them, and Yahoo doesn't give a shit.

The person I talked to was named heidi whitehead. Almost went for it until I realized how adamant they were about me sending money today. Unfortunately it is too hard to actually contact Edward Jones that you think this may be legitimate. The used the yahoo messenger is e.joneshiringdesk@yahoo.com. I was also able to get a phone number from her. It 3056475722. I keep getting a message though, however the girl keeps telling me to call. I asked for the number to HR. She refers to whoever owns this number as the superior.

I proceeded to mess with whoever I am talking to because the whole western union thing got me nervous. I then found this article. I asked them if they were on east coast time, and they said yes. I asked what time it was and they said four. I am in az, and its 5. So either they are bsing or they are in west coast time. Also the western union vendor information is ingrid Allen, topeka, Kansas.66605. I am still attempting to contact western union. That's all the info I have so far

I got the same scam email as Jose ill. They wanted $350 from me. I guess the 3rd party vendor's prices went up?? LOL! I also checked the persons profile and it was created just days earlier. They have many spelling mistakes and the picture is in black and white. They really arent even doing a good job of pretending to be profesionals...
