Pissed off is what I am!  I recently bought a new PC from PC Club who advertises nationally and on the Internet through email and other means.  Well, I have used PC Club for a few years as a parts source and they have always been very helpful.  After starting a business, I decided to invest in a new PC.  Not wanting to deal with big companies on support issues I figured PC club was the way to go - they were just up the road; literally 4-miles from me.

I went in and purchased $1500 worth of PC and accessories and the staff was very helpful and polite.  I got my PC a day later, configured the way I wanted it.  I got it home and immediately had a problem.  I called the store and was told to bring it in for priority service.  They were able to fix the problem in short order (they forgot to install some software).

I took the PC back home and got everything set up and all seemed right-as-rain - until a week later.  I finally had to reboot (a week is a long time!) and the PC would not reboot, it would just go through the shutdown but not complete the cycle.  I tried to call PC Club and there was no answer.  I went online to verify the phone number to the store where I made the purchase and found that the store was not listed online.  I thought, "this is absurd! They have to be listed on the main website."  I double-checked and yes, they were not listed.  I decided to go to the PC Club public forum - WTF!???  PC Club closed the store I purchased from, along with scores of others!  This happened litterally overnight and the managers and employees of the stores were not told - they showed up for work to find themselves locked-out!

Now to get my PC serviced I have to drive almost 35 miles acrossed town to the only store left in my state.  Well, I can't afford the time for this and will just use Geek Squad who is only a few minutes away.  PC Club still sends me their emailings and though I have opted out a dozen times I am still getting their SPAM.

Stay away from PC Club if you are looking for convenience.  Use someone else who cares.  If they treat there employees this way you know their customers will be treated the same.
